The Battle of the Bitcoin Nations: 210,000 sats prize pool

Our wavecard is already used by Bitcoiners throughout the whole Europe. Some are transacting once in a while, others are travelling the world and living their life fully on Bitcoin already. But which country has the most active Bitcoiners?

This month of August we're launching a little friendly competition between nations for a prize pool of 210,000 sats! All users represent their home country, and the nation that accumulates the most wavecard transactions over August will be rewarded with some sweet extra sats!

How to participate?

Simply pay with your wavecard as you normally would over this August and all card payments above 5000 sats will be counted towards your home country's total number of transactions.

The prize pool of 210,000 sats will be shared proportionally among the winning country's users, based on the number of qualifying card payments they did.

So make sure to pay with wavecard during your summer holidays or maybe even invite a friend or two to help boost your country's rankings!

An example of prize pool distribution:

Let's say Slovakians win with 300 qualifying card payments.

• Tom did 90 payments -> 90/300 -> 30% of the prize pool (63K sats)
• Ben did 50 payments -> 60/300 -> 20% of the prize pool (42K sats)
• …

ALL RULES:

• Users represent their home country based on account's verified details
• Only successful wavecard payments above 5000 sats (excluding fees), done between August 1st 0:00 UTC and August 31st 23:59 UTC are qualified for this competition.
• The prize pool of 210,000 sats will be distributed proportionally between winning country's users who had qualified card payments.
• Rewards will be sent to your wavecard balance.
• We reserve the right to disqualify participants at our sole discretion if we see any form of abuse or exploitation of the competition.
• An additional prize (wave.space hoodie) will be rewarded to the user with the most qualifying card payments over the competition period.
